Peppy was sent to Matlock Rose in Texas for training.

Peppy was hauled to Texas to Matlock Rose - arguably one of the finest cutting horse trainers ever.

I brought him home after 6 months in bad condition and spent several months getting him well and fit again. No one at the Rose ranch facility seemed to even know who he was! A total waste of time and money and a wonderful horse!

When ready I sent him to Lindy Burch in Clements. California.

Peppy had lost training time in Texas but Lindy saw his natural potential. Eventually he was hauled to the NCHA pre trail warmups in

Sweetwater, Tx.

Peppy fractured a sesamoid bone at Sweetwater.

Dan Cagle worked for General Telephone and came to the ranch.

Once again we brought this good natured, level headed thoroughly nice horse home, to get him well again. I used a pulse magnetic field machine on his fracture site to increase the blood flow to the wound site.

Dan's visit to the ranch to fix the phones was the start of a special friendship. He looked at my stallions and asked if he could ride Peppy! Little did I know - but Dan was a GTE telephone repairman super cutter!

Dan Cagle rode Peppy in AQHA cutting classes and in no time he earned his ROM.

Dan was excellent and loved Peppy. Eventually Peppy earned 65 AQHA cutting points, working on his old fracture simply because he loved to work cows! When I had to find homes for all my fabulous horses I gave Peppy to "Childhelp USA" in Beaumont, but he went with Dan Cagle to Missouri. I will always be so grateful to Dan for taking such good loving care of Peppy.

Dan married and move to Doniphon Missouri and took Peppy with him.

Peppy lived out his life in Missouri with Dan.

Peppy was born with me. His gorgeous mother was Adlita Chex - one of the finest AQHA horse I will ever be privileged to own. She was by King Fritz out of Doc Bar Laurie by Doc Bar.

Peppy was the kindest, nicest horse to be around. He was a super star of an individual and I consider myself very blessed to have had him in my life.
