It was a family reunion at the ranch
It was a family reunion, where family members came from San Diego, South Dakota and Denver, Colorado. What made it so totally special was that the couple from San Diego were in the process of adopting all 6 children!! They all rode the horses, and even the Dad had a short ride, and then they had dinner together on our patio. The kids blew us apart and the new parents were the most loving and kind I have ever seen. The children loved each other, and had a great time with each other! At the end of the afternoon they each got a medal with "Winner" on the medallion and a red white and blue ribbon! Here are some photos of a very special day that I would love to repeat with other families.
Our thanks to our amazing instructor Diane who taught them first about safety, along with others who assisted with walking the horses with the kids. All the kids had very hands on time with Lilbitblue Sneaky, the sorrel horse and Hickory the black horse. I think Lilbit in particular enjoyed the kids as much as they enjoyed him.
